Katarski assumes the CEO role after supporting a significant period of growth for Compudopt. As COO, Katarski played an integral role in the launch of the nonprofit’s first earned-revenue strategy, spearheaded million-dollar partnerships, expanded service locations and helped lead the organization to its
one million impact milestone. Prior to her role at Compudopt, Katarski served more than two decades with the YMCA for Metropolitan Chicago and Atlanta.
“After careful evaluation of exceptional internal and external candidates, it was clear that Allison is the right leader for Compudopt’s next chapter,” said Genesis Draper, Chief Public Defender for Harris County and Chair of Compudopt’s Executive Search Committee. “Allison’s proven track record, combined with her deep passion for the mission and team, will only build upon the current momentum.”
Under Katarski’s leadership, Compudopt will continue investing in technology access and education, internet connectivity and sustainability. In the first half of 2026,
Compudopt impacted more than 56,000 people nationwide by:
- Distributing
12,712 no-cost computers
- Connecting
852 households to low-cost and
Compudopt Connect internet
- Serving
nearly 2,000 community members with educational programming
- Recycling
111,618 pounds of e-waste and processing
85,905 pounds of materials for reuse through its ITAD+ program
- Expanded its community partnerships and collaborations with organizations including TC Energy, Methodist Health Ministries of South Texas, Inc., Microsoft TechSpark, AARP Foundation, City of Phoenix Housing Authority, Denver Broncos and more.
To support its continued growth, Compudopt has also strengthened its leadership team with the addition of
Heloise Ahoure as Vice President of Development, leading diversified fundraising strategies to advance the organization's mission and impact, and
Stephan Haskin as Vice President of Internal Systems, overseeing internal technology infrastructure and internet connectivity programs.
