Joanna Devora

Senior Program Success Manager

I joined Compudopt in August 2021, when we were still a small but mighty team with just our Houston, Chicago, and National locations. I started as the Office Administrator for the National team, and one of my first major projects was organizing Oktoberfest—a large-scale Houston fundraiser that let me dive into logistics, storytelling, and creating an inspirational video. The following year, I was promoted to Executive Assistant to our CEO, Megan Steckly. As our team grew, a need emerged for dedicated staff onboarding. Now, as Senior Program Success Manager, I ensure new staff feel confident and supported as they join Compudopt. I’m incredibly proud to contribute to our growth and the work that empowers our teams and the families we serve every day.

Ayda Negash

Tech Ed Program Director

As a Program Manager at Compudopt, I oversee the planning and coordination of laptop distribution events across various cities in partnership with community organizations.

I work closely with local partners to organize events that ensure families and students receive laptops, empowering them to access educational resources, improve job prospects, and connect with their communities. This role also allows me to travel to different cities, collaborate with passionate community leaders, and make a direct impact in the lives of individuals and families in need.

The work I do at Compudopt continues to inspire me every day. Each laptop we distribute brings opportunity, education, and connection, and I’m proud to be part of a team that is making a difference.

Erny Gonzalez

National Program Manager

If you had asked me 4 years ago where I thought I’d be today, I wouldn't have an answer. I was searching for something meaningful—something I could be proud of. Then I found Compudopt, and everything shifted. Their mission to “bridge the digital divide” hit close to home; it felt like they were speaking directly to my story. I started as a part-time Program Trainer, became a Program Coordinator, and now, as a national Program Manager, I’m able to make a broader impact, ensuring students I see a reflection of myself in, receive the resources they need to thrive and succeed. I recognize their curiosity and dreams—and know without support, we risk limiting future scientists, doctors, artists, and visionaries. Since joining Compudopt, I’ve grown in ways I never imagined and now have the privilege to help others reach their fullest potential.

TJ Hanes

Senior Manager of Data Analytics

I joined Compudopt as a Part-time Program Trainer in 2022 while working on my master’s in business analytics at University of Illinois - Chicago. Compudopt’s focus on direct service with devices and youth-focused after-school classes impressed me as I progressed to Program Manager for the Chicago area. The mission to equip and serve those in need aligned with my values, and I saw this as a place I could grow after completing my degree. Since graduating, I’ve applied my skills to further serve communities impacted by Compudopt, where I now work as Senior Data Analytics Manager on the Impact Team. In this role, I gather and share stories from device recipients, students, and partners. I’m excited to keep flourishing as we expand nationally and deliver innovative programs.
